I’ve got some great news for those of you who would like to ride with Team Moose Tracks in our Holland, Michigan ride this summer (July 16) and help us raise lots of money for the charity, but don’t want to commit to riding/training for a 100-mile ride. The Holland event actually has four tour options: 18 miles, 36 miles, 67 miles, and 100 miles. (you can see more details at www.hollandhundred.com) We’re opening positions on Team Moose Tracks to anyone who rides any of these lengths and raises money for The Sparrow’s Nest. So, as long as you commit by March 15, you’ll still get the team jersey (free) as well as all of our fundraising support (letters, administration, etc.).
All you need to let me know is:
1. That you want to be part of the team
2. Which course/tour you want to ride
Note: I need the people who have already committed to ride the event (i.e. 100 miles), tell me which option they would like to ride. Except you, Scott, you’re with me – and we’re going all the way!!! J
It’s likely we’ll have people wanting to ride all the distances (at least the 18 and 100 mile options), so we’ll probably name team captains for each group. Let me know if you’re interested in serving as a leader.
Also, feel free to invite your family, friends, business associates, etc. Everyone is welcome and as long as we have their name/size by March 15, they will get a free jersey. You can simply point them to this site as an invitation.
Regarding fundraising, in the past we’ve asked everyone to commit to trying to raise at least $5,000 per rider. While this is still the goal, we’re not going to toss someone because they “only” raise $3,500, $2,000 or $1,000. I’d encourage each of you to still reach for $5,000 (we’ll have a special gift package for everyone who reaches this level), but the minimum should be $500.
Hope you all have a great day!
